Frequently Asked Questions

Yes.  Depending on your age, coverage amount, and other factors several carriers we work with offer policies at their lowest rates with NO medical exam.

Also, we offer guaranteed issue policies that require no exam and no or limited medical questions.  However, these policies have lower coverage amounts and higher premiums.

Life insurance underwriting is the process an insurance company goes through to assess your risk profile. This helps them determine if they will offer you coverage, and at what price (premium).

The amount of life insurance you need will depend on factors such as your income, debts, and family's financial needs. Our agents can help you determine the appropriate amount of coverage.

  • Age and gender: Younger applicants and females generally qualify for lower premiums.
  • Health history: This includes your current health, past medical conditions, medications you take, and family medical history.
  • Lifestyle habits: Smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and risky hobbies can increase your premium.

  • Completing an application form with health questions.
  • If needed, authorizing the insurance company to obtain your medical records  (with your permission).
  • Sometimes, a medical exam by a paramedical professional (nurse or technician) which may include blood tests and measurements.

The underwriting process can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on the complexity of your application and your health history.

Don't worry! Having a pre-existing condition doesn't automatically disqualify you from coverage. The underwriter will assess your specific condition and how it's managed to determine your insurability and premium amount.

If your application is denied, you have the right to request a copy of the underwriting report to understand the reason(s) for the denial. You can then choose to improve your health or lifestyle habits and reapply later, or consider a different life insurance product that may be a better fit for your situation.
